Bengal Badminton Academy in association with Ordnance Club organised the Shuttle Express Open Badminton Championships at Ordnance Club, Hastings, Kolkata from 4-8 June 2014.
Nearly 300 new entrant players of 9-19 age categories, both boys and girls from Kolkata and suburbs took part in this prestigious event.
This event Co-sponsored by Kamarhatty Co ltd and LIC of India and supported by YONEX , Fever FM and All out sports magazine .
The finals of the event was held on 8.6.14, Sunday. We had the proud privilege to have the presence of Dr. Subrata Gupta, IAS-Jute Commissioner, Sri A.K.Singh, IRS-Income Tax Commissioner, Sri Pankaj Singh, IRAS, DGM-Eastern Railway and Col Adil Imran –President of Ordnance Club, Ex-badminton Champion Smt. Dipa Chatterjee during the finals and prize distribution ceremony. Leading shuttlers of the state like Sheshadri Sanyal , Rupsa Ghosh , Rajdeep Mitra etc and the other registered players of BBA volunteered this successfull event.
